The Tesla Generator And Nikola Tesla Versus Thomas Edison
The Tesla Generator is recognized around the world as a sound and reliable alternative energy generating system. Tesla’s Secret Generator has become as familiar to us all as solar power or wind power.
Yet were you aware that the Tesla electric generator has been wrapped up and hidden because of a rivalry between two of the most influential men in recent times, Nikola Tesla and Thomas Edison. In 1915 there was a huge controversy over the Nobel prize which was to be awarded to both Tesla and Edison for their progress in physics. However neither man won the coveted prize and it is rumored that this was due to their animosity they had for each other that they refused to share the prize.
Thomas Edison believed that the Direct Current was the only way to proceed with electricity. Direct current is where the electricity flows in one direction only. The system operates at the same steady voltage and is still used for batteries operated devices and solar or fuel cells. However DC electricity is not suited for high voltage or long distance transmission.
Nikola Tesla developed Alternating Current electricity where the electric charge periodically reverses in direction and is transmitted to customers via a transformer. This form of electricity is well suited to higher voltages and is used today in car motors, most appliances and particularly radio signals.
Thomas Edison had promised Tesla a generous reward if he could smooth some problems that he was experiencing with his direct current system. Tesla was young at the time and took on the project which ultimately saved Edison 100,000 dollars. Once the project had been completed and Tesla asked for his rightful compensation Edison refused to pay him. Tesla then resigned and ever since then Edison spent the rest of his life trying to discredit Tesla and alternating current electricity system.
Today however Tesla has recently been in the news with the release of his Tesla Secret Generator blueprints which were patented almost 100 years ago.
